Lalbagh Garden, Bangalore:

Lal Bagh Botanical Garden is a well known botanical garden in Bangalore and it has 240 acre, and is one of the tourist attractions in Bangalore. Lal Bagh Garden was commissioned by the ruler of Mysore, Hyder Ali. Lal Bagh Garden has a famous glass house which hosts yearly flower show and, also has an aquarium and a lake. Lal Bagh holds a number of flower shows, especially on the 26th Jan and 15th Aug of every year.

The Lal Bagh park has some rare species of plants brought from Persia, Afghanistan and France and has over 1,000 species of flora. Most of the centuries old trees are labeled for easy identification. The Lal Bagh Rock, one of the oldest rock formations on earth, dating back to 3000 million years. Another popular attraction is the surreal Floral Clock, surrounded by Snow White and the Seven dwarfs. This was a gift from Hindustan Machine Tools, leading Indian Manufacturers of Watches.

The Lal Bagh Botanical Garden is open from 6.00 AM- 7.00 PM daily, throughout the year. For the sake of fitness enthusiasts and joggers, the Garden entry is free from 6.00 AM to 9.00 AM and from 6.00 PM to 7.00 PM.
