Gyalyum Chenmo Memorial Gold Cup 2010

The Gyalyum Chenmo Memorial Gold Cup 2010 football tournament is held on 9 September 2010 at the Tibetan Settlement of Bylakuppe, Mysore. This first match was played between the GULLADHALLAHA vs CANADA team and CLEMENT TOWN team won the Gyalyum Chenmo Memorial Gold Cup 2010.

The winning team- DHONDUPLING F C has receiveed Rs 50,000 and the second place (DOEGULING F C) with Rs 30,000 and Rs 10,000 to the third place (RABLING F C) and best-behaved teams.

Lalbagh Garden, Bangalore:

Lal Bagh Botanical Garden is a well known botanical garden in Bangalore and it has 240 acre, and is one of the tourist attractions in Bangalore. Lal Bagh Garden was commissioned by the ruler of Mysore, Hyder Ali. Lal Bagh Garden has a famous glass house which hosts yearly flower show and, also has an aquarium and a lake. The Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration, Dharamsala invites application for the post of an Assistant Guidance Counselor for DOE Guidance & Counseling Cell at
Dharamsala.

The necessary requirements for the post are:
1. Minimum qualification of M.A.(Psychology)/ M.Sc. (Psychology)/ M.A. (Education) with Second Division from Recognized University.
2. Must have minimum of six months of Post Graduate Diploma on Guidance & Counseling. Applicants having done Masters Degree on Guidance & Counseling do not need to produce Diploma certificate separately.
3. Preference shall be given to those applicants having served in Guidance & Counseling or in teaching.

Miss Tibet 2010

Tenzin Norzom, a 23-year-old was crowned Kingfisher Miss Tibet 2010 at the beauty pageant's grand finale night. She was born in Hunsur Tibetan settlement in South India, in 1986. She just completed Shastri degree (equivalent to Bachelor of Arts degree) from the Central University of Tibetan Studies in Varanasi. She is fluent in English, Tibetan and Hindi, and likes reading, music and dancing, and playing badminton. Norzon received a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000.

Tenzin Norzom was extremely happy and excited after winning the crown and said that she wanted to do something for Tibet and Tibetans-in-exile.

"It's a wonderful opportunity I got. I will step forward and will do something. I feel great with Tibetans and as a Tibetan, that I performed as a contestant in front of all. I feel good that I won," said Norzon.
