Tibetans Government Jobs at Dharamsala:

The Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration, Dharamsala invites application for the post of an Assistant Guidance Counselor for DOE Guidance & Counseling Cell at
Dharamsala.

The necessary requirements for the post are:
1. Minimum qualification of M.A.(Psychology)/ M.Sc. (Psychology)/ M.A. (Education) with Second Division from Recognized University.
2. Must have minimum of six months of Post Graduate Diploma on Guidance & Counseling. Applicants having done Masters Degree on Guidance & Counseling do not need to produce Diploma certificate separately.
3. Preference shall be given to those applicants having served in Guidance & Counseling or in teaching.
4. First and last page of applicant's Green Book paid upto 31st Dec, 2009
5. Medical Fitness certificate from a recognized Doctor.
6. If employed, no objection certificate from the employer.
7. Age limit: Below 50 (copy of birth certificate/ class X pass certificate)

Important notes:
• Applicants must mention his/her email address, phone and fax numbers if any in the application letter
• Applicants with completed documents will be called for and interviews, which will be conducted on July 30, 2010.
• Applicants must produce the original documents for verification at the time of reporting.
• Applications received after the deadline will not be entertained.
Pay scale: Equivalent to the post of Under Secretary of CTA
Selection will be done on the basis of interview in Tibetan and English. All the interested candidates should apply by sending the copies of required documents duly attested by any CTA Officials holding rank of Joint Secretary and above, Representative/ Welfare Officers in Settlement to the following address latest by July 23, 2010.

Miss Tibet 2010

Tenzin Norzom, a 23-year-old was crowned Kingfisher Miss Tibet 2010 at the beauty pageant's grand finale night. She was born in Hunsur Tibetan settlement in South India, in 1986. She just completed Shastri degree (equivalent to Bachelor of Arts degree) from the Central University of Tibetan Studies in Varanasi. She is fluent in English, Tibetan and Hindi, and likes reading, music and dancing, and playing badminton. Norzon received a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000.

Tenzin Norzom was extremely happy and excited after winning the crown and said that she wanted to do something for Tibet and Tibetans-in-exile.

"It's a wonderful opportunity I got. I will step forward and will do something. I feel great with Tibetans and as a Tibetan, that I performed as a contestant in front of all. I feel good that I won," said Norzon.
